Scalability, efficiency, and seamless integrations – that’s what drives our platform. You'll play a key role in shaping our backend infrastructure, developing high-performance APIs, and optimizing our internal tools to ensure smooth operations and continuous innovation.

 

Your Mission at Foodji:

  • Develop and maintain cutting-edge REST APIs to enhance platform efficiency and scalability

  • Seamlessly integrate external APIs (e.g., payment providers, ERP systems) for smooth data flow

  • Improve internal tools to streamline machine management, product handling, orders, and customer interactions

  • Continuously evolve our tech stack to keep Foodji at the forefront of foodtech innovation

  • Take ownership of projects, implement technical improvements, and shape the future of our platform

 

Our Tech Stack:

  • Our platform is powered by the AWS Serverless Stack (Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB), MongoDB, Redshift, Rekognition, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions and Docker. These cutting-edge technologies allow us to deploy and scale fast and easily without much of the classic dev ops hassle. Everything is monitored by our custom monitoring system, Pingdom, CloudWatch, constantly analyzing KPIs of our Foodjis .

  • Our cloud backends as well as the machine software operating on our IoT foodjis in the field are running on GoLang. For predicting future sales and inventory, we utilize state-of-the-art machine learning models in Python, for computational vision detections, we mostly use AWS Rekognition trained on pictures taken from multiple cameras inside our Foodjis.

  • Our mobile app for iOS and Android, as well as our touchscreen software and our operations app are using Ionic in combination with Angular and Capacitor with a sparcle of TailwindCSS to bring our users the best experience in an efficient and modern way.

  • We’re integrating a variety of third-party services like payment providers, ticketing systems and analytics tools via RESTful apis, custom Capacitor plugins and shared data warehousing.

  • We empower our teams by sharing knowledge in our Engineering Meetings and Engineering Talks.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Proven experience in Golang and MongoDB

  • First-hand exposure to AWS Lambda, Fargate, and Docker

  • A proactive mindset with a passion for problem-solving and ownership of projects

  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Enthusiasm for innovation and a drive to continuously improve and optimize our systems

  • Strong English communication skills
